The #BringBackOurGirls group has condemned the exposure of the rescued Chibok girl, Amina Ali Nkeki, to the media following a CNN interview.
The group, during its normal sit-out in Abuja, yesterday, said Amina ought to have allowed to recover and not to be exposed to the media, calling the exposure wicked and heartless.
Speaking during the sit-out, the group’s spokesperson, Sesugh Akume stated that the interview which was a diversion as it in no way addresses the issue at hand which is the recent video which was released by the Boko Haram sect.
“We condemned exposing the vulnerable Amina Ali to the media. That is wicked and heartless. It is diversionary as it in no way addresses the issue at hand,” he said.
He also lamented that President Muhammadu Buhari was yet to speak on the video, adding that the group was planning series of activities to drive home its point.
“We have not heard the president on this very important issue. We are planning a series of activities to drive home the point that this inaction and silence, we will not accept,” he said.
Recall that Amina Ali Nkeki was interviewed by CNN where she was quoted as saying that she missed her Boko Haram terrorist husband and still thinks about him three months after escaping.
Amina Ali, who was held hostage by the terrorist group for more than two years, was married off a year into her ordeal and later had a baby girl, Safiya.
